Still one of my favorite restaurants. Been coming here since they opened decades ago! The cheddar fries are amazing. We got the fried Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Texas style hamburger. Others got the chicken fried steak. It is always excellent. Highly recommend

The food was great. I had the catfish basket. We also ordered the chicken tenders and chicken fried steak. The green beans have lots of flavor. The hush puppies are great too. As far as the fries, they are the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy.
Considering this is where my husband and I had our 1st date almost 28 yrs ago, it's one of my fave places but we dont go much since we moved out of town..we go back every now and again with our sons
It had been a while since I had been to Montana’s and it was great to be back. Amazing service. Food was delicious as always, great prices, everything was good. I wish I was in Stephenville more often. Great choice!
Found this place after a graduation at Tarleton. This place is truly a great restaurant. The catfish is the best I’ve had by far. And that’s saying something growing up around a catfish farm. The salsa was super good and I had to ask for some to go. The chicken fried steak was very thick and tender and not mostly batter. I’ve you ever get to go to Stephenville look up this place you won’t be disappointed.
Nice place to grab lunch. Portions were good, and food had lots of flavor. Service was decent, and the atmosphere was chill.
Always so good and always a great place to stop and enjoy. Not a lot I can add to the reviews already out there -- Yes, the cheese fries really are that good. Period. End of story. The burgers are spot on tasty. The nachos always hit the spot, and there are so many delicious ways to vary them up... they simply never get boring. Simply close your eyes and let your finger fall where it may on the menu and order where it falls... you won't go wrong. The service is normally great... but c'mon now... you know if it is truly insanely busy, there may be a bit of a lapse here and there. Put yourself in your server's shoes and think about it for just a sec... if your drink goes without a refill for a moment, and they're running around helping out the other tables that are all full with other needy self-centered people... it may be a minute or two... so enjoy that deliciousness that is in front of you and relax, your server will be with you in a moment. There is a reason the locals go here. There is a reason those of us who grew up here and have moved away go here when we return for a visit.
